What should I expect?

Following this meeting, we will put together a proposal outlining the scope of work and investment estimate.

If you wish to move forward with the proposal, you can secure your dates in the calendar by signing an agreement and providing a 50% deposit.

Do I need to be present for the organizing project?

It is recommended for the client to be present only if significant editing is required. Once the edit is complete, our team can take care of the rest.

How long will the project take?

Every project is different. Time will vary depending on the scope of services provided, size of the home, and number of belongings. It will also depend on the number of professionals you prefer on site. 

Assuming one professional, we estimate the following ranges:

  • Kitchen (including all cabinets, pantry, fridge and freezer): 16-36 hours

  • Bedroom: 4-8 hours

  • Walk-in closet: 16-24 hours

  • Standard closets: 4-8 hours

  • Bathroom: 2-6 hours

  • Playroom: 8-20 hours

  • Living room: 8-12 hours

  • Home office: 12-24 hours (depending on whether significant filing needs to be done)

  • Garage / basement: 8-24 hours

Do you have a COVID protocol in place?

Absolutely.

Our professionals will be pre-screened prior to entering the premises, will wear face masks on site and sanitize hands periodically throughout the day. Gloves will be worn when handling items in the kitchen.

Can the quoted project cost change after the contract is signed?

Our proposals have three components: project execution, products, and third-party services, as applicable. Project execution is quoted on a fixed cost basis so there are no surprises. As part of the agreement, we decide on a budget together with the client for products to be used and strive to keep the product costs within this budget. We do not mark up products or third-party services.

The final project cost may vary from the quoted price to reflect actual products used and final invoices for third party services. The client will be notified in advance if the final project cost is expected to exceed the proposal by more than 15%. HST will be added to all invoices.

The client will receive a final invoice prior to their credit card being charged.

Who sources and purchases products and how much does it cost?

We source and purchase products on behalf of clients based on their specific needs, personal aesthetics, and budget. The selection of organizing products is at the discretion of The Haume.

Generally, products tend to cost approximately 35% of the total project cost. We offer full transparency and do not mark up products used.

When and how do I pay for the product and service?

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of securing your dates on the calendar. 

A 10% fee will be charged for rescheduling with less than 72 hours’ notice.

You will receive a final invoice upon completion of the project. Payment is due in full upon completion of the project.

We accept cash, cheque, E-transfer and all major credit cards. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% fee.

Do you guarantee confidentiality?

We take your privacy seriously and guarantee 100% confidentiality. We offer and encourage execution of our standard non-disclosure agreement.

Our professionals are discreet, and we can assure you that your personal information and details related to your family, home, and project will remain private.

Do you provide packing services?

Yes, our team can pack for you or offer assistance during the packing process to ensure everything goes smoothly. We ensure items are properly packaged and boxes are labeled according to room destination. If you wish, we can also prepare an inventory so you know what is stored in each box.

Is it necessary to edit my belongings before the move?

If you are running short on time prior to the move, our team can help you edit your belongings during unpacking.  

How will I maintain the organization once your team is done?

We strive to provide solutions that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Spaces are designed with ease of maintenance in mind.

Once our team has completed the organization, we will walk you through the project and explain each system used. If someone else is responsible for the upkeep, we provide training as part of the organization project.

We also offer year-round maintenance packages customized to meet your needs.
